BRITISH WWII ARMY CHAPLAIN’S SERVICE CAP

Army Chaplains Service cap, standard khaki cap, one-piece Chaplains Department Kings Crown badge. Black Chaplains Department Kings Crown side buttons with the chinstrap all in black. Moss Brothers label to the upper inner crown below the waterproof protection. Moss Brothers gilt blocked name to the mid tan leather sweatband. Original 7 1/8th still applied below the leather sweatband. This cap may belong to the same officer whose dress side cap we have on this site, although the size is smaller in the side cap than the service cap. It should be remembered that the overseas cap sits more on top of the head than over the head.
