BRITISH WWI TANK CREW PROTECTIVE FACE MASK

A very nice condition tank mask from WWI. No rot to the leather or to the suede interior, some obvious wear and use around the bridge of the nose. The stitching is excellent, with its canvas head tapes, which, of course, have discoloured with slight nicks to the canvas. The chain mail visor is all in place without any links missing. All of these face masks are maker stamped underneath the suede on the reverse side of the steel face plate and cannot be viewed; they were all made by the Company of Burys & Company of Sheffield.
