British WWI Gas Goggles

An extremely rare pair of all-rubber framed goggles, commercially purchased by the British government following the first gas attacks and prior to the widespread issue of gas masks with mouth and nose protection. The rubber frame remains supple and intact, showing no signs of solidifying or cracking, a condition seldom seen with goggles of this type.
