British WWI Durham Light Infantry Brodie Helmet

A fine example of the standard Second Pattern Brodie helmet fitted with the oxidised bronze badge of the Durham Light Infantry, now showing a pleasing green patina. The helmet retains much of its original textured finish, with one small dent to the crown. To the left side is a large blue painted rectangle with a triangle above, likely a unit or formation marking. The interior oilskin liner remains intact and in good condition, showing some expected flaking from age. The original chinstrap is present and complete, though delicate and should be handled with care. A strong example of a named-regiment WWI combat helmet.
