BRITISH WWI BRODIE HELMET

A standard 2nd pattern Brodie helmet, the shell is in good condition and painted in an unusual green over the original sand-based khaki. Losses to the paint as can be seen from our web images, whether it is a form of camouflage or sina gle unit speciality is unknown, the colour is good, complete with its leather chinstrap, its fabric liner. The inner horsehair padding is missing. Faint traces of an original owner’s name or possibly unit designation on the inner flap skirt.
