This is a fine example of the 1914 pattern leather holster, part of the leather equipment set introduced during the Great War to supplement the standard webbing. Designed to carry the heavy Mark 6 Webley service revolver, this holster is constructed from robust leather that has aged well.

The retaining strap features a maker's mark that is still faintly visible, providing a tangible link to its industrial origins. The holster is complete with all its original brass fittings, which remain in good order. A particularly desirable feature of this set is the inclusion of the original brass cleaning rod, which is clearly stamped with the British military broad arrow and the year 1915.

The leather shows the honest patina of age but remains structurally sound, with all stitching intact. This is a highly complete and well-dated piece of British field gear, ideal for a collector of Great War equipment or sidearm accessories.
