A scarce example of the 1902 pattern officers tunic, featuring four pockets with flaps, the two upper pockets with pleats. Fitted with intertwined khaki shoulder boards secured by General Service buttons bearing the King’s crown, with matching closure buttons to the front (one upper right pocket button now absent). The collar shows three holes to each side where insignia were once attached. Captains cuff rank lace remains to the base of both sleeves. Condition includes slight moth damage to the base of the upper right pocket, minor nicks to the right sleeve, and one larger moth hole to the rear centre panel. The original Hobson & Sons label is present, hand-inscribed with the name ‘Captain S.H.’, the surname partly rubbed but possibly Lawson, dated ‘April 1911’. A scarce early WWI officer’s tunic.
