BRITISH WWI 08 WEB SET

British 08 web set comprising right and left hand side ammunition pouches, standard 08 belt, blue enamelled water bottle with felt covering in its web carrier, some light moth to the felt of the bottle. ‘1918’ dated entrenching tool steel head with good finish remaining, in its web carrier, maker marked, broad arrow stamped also dated ‘1918’. Small side pack maker marked and faintly dated what appears to be ‘1910’ but could also be 1918, with original owner’s name handle applied below. Large pack with two great coat straps. Mess tin with possible reproduction cover.  Set complete with the rare Hook Quillion bayonet that has some corrosion to the end of the blade, clearly marked ‘1907 Wilkinson’ with further proof marks and its extremely rare pattern 08 haft holder, which attaches to the bayonet frog. The whole set has been assembled over the years by a serious collector; there are different colourations to various pieces. The large pack has the original owner’s name printed on it also further issued to the Officer Training Corps. Slight rust stains on the flap of the large pack.
