This is a rare and exceptionally well-preserved equipment set for an Austrian infantryman of the First World War. The set consists of a matched pair of dual-compartment ammunition pouches and the original leather waist belt, all exhibiting a consistent and matching colour.
The pouches are designed to carry ammunition for the Model 1895 Mannlicher rifle. They are constructed from high-quality leather with pebbled finishes on the closing flaps. The interior of one pouch lid is clearly marked Wein 15, indicating production in Vienna in 1915. The stitching remains strong and intact across all four compartments.
The accompanying waist belt features regimental markings and a partial date stamp where the first two digits, 19, remain visible. The leather remains supple and the set represents a scarce opportunity to acquire a primary infantry rig that has remained together since the period of the Great War. This is an essential grouping for anyone looking to complete a combat uniform display for the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
