Fitted into its military-style wooden scabbard, with its leather combat cover, indicating use by Kamikaze pilots. The remains of a surrender label still remain on the leather of the scabbard. The hilt also has its correct scabbard retaining leather belt with its male\/female connector, which, when fitted to the male stud on the scabbard, stops the scabbard from separating from the sword.
