The size stamping, which is prefixed with the ‘CKL’ makers stamp is hidden underneath the zinc liner band. The batch number too faintly stamped to read. The shell size ‘68’ liner size ‘56’. The exterior is in a very nice Normandy tan and green finish. The helmet is with the early three hole spanner bolt screws. Never fitted with an eagle. The liner all complete with good clear RB  number and shell and liner size stampings, the leather suffering slightly from what we call American  Red Rot, which is very  typical of the helmets that were originated in the United States and have been there since the end of WWII. The straps are late war straps, all complete, slight loss of colour to the Luftwaffe blue grey on the exterior. All of the brown finish to the inside complete with some cracking.
