A well-used tropical visored field cap for a Kriegsmarine enlisted man, featuring light blue waffenfarbe. The cap shows evidence of extensive service wear and slight bleaching, but remains structurally sound.
Fitted with the correct gold-on-tan Bevo woven eagle and matching Bevo cockade, the lower cockade is surrounded by the inverted V waffenfarbe in light blue. While photographic or regulatory evidence of waffenfarbe on Naval tropical caps is scarce, this example clearly retains its original fitting.
The interior light blue lining bears the hand-applied initials “HS” and the name “Schliewa” at the lower edge. Minor damage is present to the rear lining, and the exterior shows a few light nicks, but no significant staining or heavy wear. A genuine service-used Kriegsmarine tropical cap.
