The iconic black cap with crusher-style peak, death's head skull and early M.29 cap eagle, which has minor signs of green Verdigris; white piping upon either end of the velvet centre band and crown, the white piping has a few moth nipped areas. A very 'toned with age' silver chin cord, held on with again toned, silver pebbled side buttons. The left side of the velvet centre band appears to have a period repair as shown. The interior lining is black rayon cloth, the central celluloid lozenge is coming away slightly, and the brown leather sweatband has one full tear.
