It is difficult to identify the material, possibly a material similar to the material known as Alpaka that Luftwaffe Honour Goblets were produced from. The decoration around the top is classic Austrian Art Nouveau. The full length of the goblet is inscribed ‘Ein Volk Ein Reich Ein Führer ’. Below is an outline of a map of Austria with a sword on a swastika through the centre of the map and below the date ‘13th March 1938’, which is the day after the Austrian Anschluss.
